DIY Dry Shampoo for Hot Mess Moms

DIY Dry Shampoo is easy, and effective.  With 5 ingredients (6 if you have darker hair) two from your kitchen, it’s a quick DIY too. Have you tried dry shampoo?  I didn’t realize it was a “thing” available on the market until a few months ago. I saw a post in one of my “oily” groups and found a recipe.  It has come in handy on days where I don’t get to shower before going out into the world and need to absorb some of the oils on my scalp and roots.

To Make DIY Dry Shampoo You will need:

Steps:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, stir thoroughly.
  2. Next, add to container with shaker cap.

To Use:

  1. Sprinkle on the roots of hair.
  2. Gently massage your scalp.
  3. Allow powder to sit for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Brush through your hair.

You may also consider tapping some of the mixture into your cap and using a brush to apply to the roots.  Then proceed with the scalp massage, allow to sit for 2-3 minutes and finish by brushing your hair.  It’s a little bit tidier this way, which you probably need if you are a hot-mess mom like me!
